This past weekend my dog, Hitch, got his weekly grooming from my brother and me.This consist of a bath, with his favorite shampoo, being blown dry and brushed, then having his nails clipped;and if he’s good he may earn a treat. I noticed whenever my dog doesn’t receive his day of luxury he gets moody, meaning he will bark at everything and even sit and look at you, as if you forgot something. Then I thought, animals and humans are alike in so many ways, because whenever I don’t get my hair done or a chance to go to the spa, it affects my daily behavior. So I ask the world do we change our appearance to appeal to others, or do we do these things to make ourselves feel better inside? Many say it’s just a mental thing, but a mental thing turned physical is what I say. We alter ourselves to make us feel good inside, no matter how the outside world my view us.

This is pretty cool. I've noticed that dogs ARE a lot like humans in many ways. Maybe we have some of the same brain processes? Something you should research.
ReplyDeleteYour connection about dogs and humans having similarities struck me because I had never looked at it this way before. Maybe this is why the feelings between canines and humans are so intense.
