This week we had a visitor at our school, who I felt opened my eyes to a lot; Mr. Anthony Wellington, a musician from the D.C area. He’s no big superstar, but he couldn’t be more of a great musician in my opinion. Everything he spoke about showed his passion about music, and that is important when listening to a speaker. If I don’t feel their passion it’s just another person talking to me, but with Mr. Wellington I could tell he meant everything he said. He also said a quote that I will take with me in life “You can get money back, but you can never get back the time you put into something. So you must really have a passion for what you do.” I never thought about that when I do things, but as my week went on I started to point out things that I spend time on that really do deserve it. So, in life I’m going to think about what I am about to do, and ask myself Is It worth my time?
The ONE day I miss! I still cant get over that. But as a person that missed out, I appreciate the video.
ReplyDeleteI thought Mr.Wellington's visit was also very informative, and it's always great to meet someone that passionate about what they do. There's always something valuble when you meet someone like that.
